Thursday, January 12th
Burnt River Library is offering a FREE introductory e-reader workshop from noon to 2:00 p.m. It provides group instruction and an opportunity to experience several types of e-book readers. Drop in or call 705-454-9646 for more information or to book a spot. Computer lessons are also available at $5 for ½ hour.
Saturday, January 14th
Robbie Burns Night at the Burnt River Community Centre with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and an evening of Scottish entertainment following. A licensed event, with tickets available on order @ 705-454-8045 or 705-454-1653.
Wednesday, January 25th
Diners’ Dinner at Burnt River Centre will start at noon.
Saturday, January 28th
B.R. Blooms presents its annual Chili Cook-Off Fund Raiser at the Burnt River Centre. Doors open at 5 p.m. Enjoy chili, salad, garlic bread, dessert. Cost is $8.00 per person. Licensed under LCBO. There will be a Twoonie Table (10 tickets for a Twoonie) and also a door prize.
To enter your CHILI POT, it MUST feed at least 10 people.
