November BRAG

BURNT RIVER ACTIVITIES GUIDE
    November 2012
Saturday November 3rd
Community Christmas Craft Sale 10 am to 3 pm, sponsored by the
Burnt River United Church UCW at the B.R. Community Centre.  At this event 28 vendors will be showing their crafts, and our hand-made, queen-size Quilt, and an afghan, will be raffled at approx. 2:30 pm.  Tickets will be available that Saturday, before the items
are raffled.  Proceeds go to the Coboconk Elementary School
Breakfast Fund and the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church.
There is also a lunch being offered for sale by the ladies of the UCW,
and we are commencing selling of our Historic Cook Book we produced
in the 70's, plus new recipes from the second and third generations of the
families, plus  historic pictures we have gathered of the ladies contributing and the church events in general over the past 50 years or so. We hope you will enjoy it.
At this time we would also like to thank everyone who has contributed
to our campaign for funds to put a new galvanized steel roof on our  church.
We have almost reached our goal of $7000 and the roofers are finishing up the project.  It is gratifying to know that we won't have a leaky roof this winter, and we greatly appreciate everyone's generosity.
