Tuesday, February 2nd
Try out your luck at the first Bingo of 2010. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the games start at 6:45 at the centre.

Wednesday, February 10th
Burnt River P.A.C.T. meeting will be held at the Burnt River Fire Hall at 1:00 p.m. sharp. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information call John at 454-8577.

Saturday, February 13th Children’s drop-in craft at the Library anytime between 10 and 11:30a.m.

Saturday February 13th Sweetheart Spaghetti Dinner POSTPONED
Unfortunately, the 3rd annual Sweetheart Spaghetti Dinner has been postponed. Watch for it in the Spring.

Wednesday, February 24th
Diners’ Dinner at Burnt River Centre will start at noon.

Saturday, February 20th
Help celebrate Herb Blackmore’s 90th birthday, to be held at Burnt River Community Centre, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Best wishes only. For more information call John @ 454-8577.

Sewing & Crafts Tuesdays at the Centre
March 9th Make a serged vest. Class is being lead by a professional instructor.
April 20th Make a reversible quilt. Log cabin squares must be made before the class.
We do have machines available for you to use if anyone wants to learn to sew. For more information call Noni at 454-8007.

Arts Program
coming to Burnt River Recreation Centre. First session, draw and paint your own greeting cards. For more information, come on Tuesdays to the Community Centre between 12 and 4, or contact Brenda Mulhulland at 488-1574 or Noni Campbell at 454-8007.

Burnt River Community Centre Update
At the Management Board’s Annual General Meeting held earlier this month, the following details were confirmed. Erin Handley stepped down as chair and George Heath was elected to that position. Janis Kadai continues in the position of Secretary and likewise, Hugh Armstrong, as Treasurer and Lynne Johnston, as Booking Agent. Erin will continue as a member of the Volunteer Board of Management and our sincere thanks go out to her for her past and on-going contribution and commitment to our community. The 2009 Financial Statement for the Volunteer Management Board was presented and approved and has been forwarded to the CoKL’s accounting department. For your information, a copy has been posted at the Centre.
