Saturday, Sept. 12th at 10:30 Children’s Craft at the Library

Back to School craft for children from ages 4-10. Also be sure to watch for new Library hours coming in October. We will move from 8 hours to 12 hours a week.

Sunday, September 27th 9:30 a.m. St. Luke’s Anglican Church Burnt River

It’s “Back to Church” Sunday. Everyone is welcome to attend. Come and bring a friend. Refreshments and fellowship follow the service.

Tues. Sept. 29th and Tues. Oct. 6th 12 – 4 p.m.

The Tuesday Sewing and Craft group invite people to join classes to make a large quilted tote. Pattern will be provided. Materials needed are as follows:
2 different colours of cotton fabric and fusible fleece or batting of choice
45” wide – 1and 3/4 yds or 60” wide 1 yd
3rd colour of cotton 45” wide – 1 and 1/8yds or 60” wide 7/8 yd

Burnt River PACT met on Wednesday Aug. 19/09.

Topics that were discussed were ATVs, impaired driving changes, use of cell phones while driving, theft of gasoline on Reid Blvd. and damage on Woodfield.
Each meeting we discuss different topics. Our next meeting is on November 18/09. The topic will be breathalyzers.
All are welcome. We meet 7:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m.

October 04 – 10/09 is Fire Prevention Week

Open house at the fire hall in Burnt River is Monday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
and Monday evening 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Every one is welcome to attend. Information will be available on smoke alarms, burn by-law, and how to protect your home from fire.
Refreshments available.
